On 8 March 2011 the Finnish Parliament approved the Government Bill on accession of Finland to the London Agreement.
The London Agreement entered into force for Finland on 1 November 2011.
After that date, patent claims shall only be translated into Finnish provided that the language of the patent is English. This is applied to the European patents for which the mention of the grant was published in European Patent Bulletin on 1 November 2011 or later.
